The media agency PPP offers free therapy for anyone who needs it
The challenge they faced
With over 400 employees across Sweden, Norway, Finland, and England, People People People (PPP) navigates the dynamic landscape of advertising, PR, and digital agency services. PPP found themselves facing a challenge familiar to many companies: addressing mental health concerns within their workforce.
"We're experts in PR, not in HR. Recognizing when an employee is struggling and knowing how to support them was a gap we needed to fill.”

The solution they found
As signs of distress started affecting PPP's workplace dynamics, they sought support from Ahum.
"We had an urgent need to support our team promptly. It was crucial for us to identify a solution capable of delivering the necessary support within a matter of hours."

But it wasn't just that; Ahum's personalized approach struck a chord with PPP. "The relationship felt genuine from the start," Angelica observed. Ahum's expertise, high-quality services, and flexibility, including offering various therapy formats, further reinforced their decision.
Angelica highlights the strength of having an external partner for support. It makes things less messy and allows for a broader perspective.

"As a manager, it's also incredibly relieving to know that I have Ahum close at hand to quickly offer assistance to our employees. Feeling seen and heard is crucial for our staff, and I truly feel equipped to provide that support now, without stepping into the role of an amateur psychologist."

PPP prioritizes its employees above all else. Our goal is to ensure that our strategists, creatives, filmmakers, consultants, techies, and storytellers can do their best work with us. Therefore, providing the right support has become an integral part of our recruitment process.
"When we recruit new people, we discuss the support we offer, including mental support through Ahum. It's interesting that the younger generation almost sees it as a given; they wouldn't have applied to us if it weren't for that. Whereas the slightly older generation sees it as a fantastic perk. They have slightly different attitudes, but both see it as an essential component."

What the future holds
PPP remains committed to prioritizing mental health. They continue to integrate discussions about mental health support into their hiring process and continue to offer Ahum's services to employees. They utilize the Mood Manager (EAP) agreement, ensuring that costs remain under control while assistance is readily available. Each of the 12 subsidiary agencies has an admin responsible for approving and assigning support.
“Our people are the backbone of our business. We trade in hours. It's imperative that our employees possess the mental resilience to deliver the finest and most innovative work to our customers. Naturally, we must support them to ensure they can sustain this level of performance in the long run."

In her forward-looking vision, she imagines a workplace where every employee has regular sessions with a therapist. Shifting the perspective, the emphasis is on the necessity of canceling rather than booking these sessions, viewing them as a natural component for sustaining well-being and performance both at work and in personal life.
Next case
“We've seen some great outcomes. About 30% of our team members have jumped on board and made use of the app, which we consider a real win. Another positive aspect is that our managers now perceive it as a valuable launching pad for conversations about the work atmosphere and mental health. It's been a positive experience all around!"
